About Us

Communities for People equips children and families impacted by the foster care system with the tools and resources they need to achieve independence and build fulfilling lives in our community.

Thanks to generous partners, Communities for People (CFP) is able to help nearly 2,000 youth and families involved in the foster care system each year. By teaming up with Communities for People, you are helping to provide a wide range impactful services to youth and families across Massachusetts and Rhode Island through community-based residential programs, foster care, outpatient services, managed care networks and adoption.

Donations and volunteer efforts from your company will have a real impact in your own town and beyond. We currently serve every zip code in Rhode Island and most within Greater Boston. You might not know it, but we could be helping your neighbor, employee, or customer right now. From staffing to utility bills, we are always facing budget challenges, and our clients are feeling them too. Ultimately, we aim to provide youth and families with individualized support that will help each of them to fulfill their true potential – and hopefully get back to regular family life.
